THE MENU

 At Lunchtimes are menu includes freshly baked baguettes with assorted fillings, such as, Prawns, Hot Roast Welsh Lamb,stir fried Beef and onions and Welsh Cheddar cheese to name but a few, all are served with chipped potatoes and a salad garnish. Lighter options include Homemade Soups, Smoked Mackerel and Gravadlax. We offer a selection of freshly cooked hot meals such as home cooked Ham with eggs, homemade Madras and grilled Welsh Lamb chops, these are just a small selection of our hot lunch menu. A small children's menu is also available for the under 12's.

Afternoon Tea at the Plas is also a very popular affair, with George Bernard Shaw being one of the Plas' past guests, his photograph is on the wall in the foyer. All our cakes are either handmade or homemade and feature the usual favourites like Bara Brith, Sultana Scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, thick jam and buttercream Sponge and Carrot Cake (which we are reliably informed contains 1 and 1/2 lb carrots in each cake!!!)

Our Evening Menus are changed regularly to make full use of local, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers where possible. Succulent Welsh Lamb is prominent as is Welsh Beef and these figure highly in the popularity stakes. We try to offer a Fresh Fish Menu each week, especially over the weekend, this also changing with seasonal availability. Most fish can be pre-ordered in advance.
